Dr. Ari Wahyudi Hertanto, S.H., M.H.

Ari is the Partner of Dewi Djalal & Partners Law Office. He gained his law degree in civil law, at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia, in 1998. Soon after he finished his studies, he spent working as a Legal Consultant and Advocate with several top-tier law firm in Jakarta. Ari specializes in the fields of corporate laws, investment, international transactions, maritime law, insurance, forestry, and immigration.

He is also a lecturer in leading universities in Indonesia, namely Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Trisakti and Universitas of Pancasila, the subjects are Theory of State, Contract Drafting, Legal Opinion, Family law, Contract Law and so on. As a member of Indonesian Advocates Association, he lectures various subjects i.e., contract drafting, legal opinion, legal reasoning, legal research and so on. He was a former of Vice Chairman of Legal Internship of the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI).

He actively writes academic literature and legal articles. Thus, he is also being engaged to assist Ministry of Housing, Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Ministry of BAPPENAS and other government institutions, and not to mention Japan International Cooporation Agency (JICA), German Technical Cooperation Agency (GTZ), Indonesian Society of Appraisers (MaPPI), as a source person for drafting regulation and public policies, as well as to give seminars and workshops.

He completed his master’s degree in business law at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia in 2005. Currently, He is pursuing his doctorate program at the Faculty of Law, Univesity Indonesia.

He speaks both Bahasa and Fluent English.
